Vietnam Emergency Relief Fund (Oct, 2020)
In late September, early October 2020, Northern Vietnam was impacted by treacherous floods, high winds and heavy typhoons. This left many people in Quang Tri and Quang Nam distressed, without food and shelter.
With emergency funding of close to $24k we were able to help support over three thousand people in the affected communities. Donations of the basics such as food, medicine, clothes and a small amount of cash for each family help them get off the ground and gave them hope and relief. A big thanks to Sister Hoa and Venerable Dao Luc who helped us on the ground distributing the necessary basics to the people in need.
Vietnam Charity House (Nov, 2020)
Many families were left devastated, without homes when their poorly constructed huts were swept away and damaged by the floods and typhoon in 2020.
With over $60k in donations, Venerable Dao Luc was on the ground to help Global Hands oversee the project of rebuilding and the renovation of 20 houses. For these 20 families, it was not only a roof over heads but a sense of protection and peace that they had not felt for a long time.
