Clean Water (Sept, 2017)
Water filtration tanks were installed in Dong Hoi, Vietnam to transform dirty, polluted water into clean and drinkable water.
In the Dong Hoi District, water was polluted as a result of a steel manufacturer nearby. Through processing, the water was dirty, toxic and undrinkable.
Global Hand Charity was able to provide a commercial water filtration system that needed to be filtered 6 times before it was able to have clean and drinkable for water for the whole community. Three water filtration systems were installed, costing over $26,000 and was fully funded by Global Hand Charity.
The water filtration system project does not only provide clean water for the local community, it also provides financial support for the Dong Thua Sai Bac Ai Orphanage centre. As a result of smart thinking, the orphanage centre sells some of the excess clean water to other local communities close by. The orphanage centre uses the money from selling filtered clean water to support the running and maintenance for the water filter system as well as several Dong Thua Sai Bac Ai Centres.
Given the success of this project, a further two filtration water system have been installed at Que and Phuoc Son Da Nang for the benefit of local community.
